Small Scale Meat

We’re hitting the road again with a couple of trips to Vancouver Island in February. Hope to see you at one or some or all of these events!

Join us February 4th for a post Island Ag Show beverage and chat about what’s going on in the small-scale meat industry in this region and around the province. Board members Tristan Banwell of Spray Creek Ranch, Steve Meggait of Fresh Valley Farms, Ben Glassen of Glassen Farms in Nanaimo and Executive Director Julia Smith of Blue Sky Ranch will be on hand so bring your questions, concerns, opportunities and wins. We want to hear it all! All members and prospective members welcome. Register Now >>

– SSMPA updates
– Informal group discussions and socializing

We’ll be at the Mid-Island Farmer Institute’s “Farmer Connect” event February 25/26th.

Are you a farmer or farm curious? Farmer Connect is organized for farmers by farmers and will consist of sessions for veggie growers, flower farmers, meat producers and more.

Sessions will begin at 1pm at the Merville Hall on both Saturday and Sunday.

Bring your questions, your ideas and even your frustrations and leave with some resources for the upcoming season.
