We're kicking off our new member benefits program with a free subscription to Country Life in BC for all levels of membership ($18.90 value). Country Life in BC has been the agricultural news source for BC’s farmers and ranchers for over 100 years. Country Life is published every month and is an excellent way to stay abreast of everything that is happening in agriculture in BC.

If you are raising livestock for meat as part of your farming or ranching operations, this is the membership for you. A Producer Membership is $60 per year for all current and developing small-scale meat producers. Member benefits include:

A producer membership is $60. We have tried to keep the fees as low as possible to ensure that affordability is not a barrier to membership. We understand all too well that profitability is an issue in this sector. If you have the means and/or if you are a more established operation, please consider adding a donation to your membership. We rely on donations to “keep the lights on” as we have no basic operational funding.

PROCESSOR

Are you providing meat processing services to small-scale meat producers in BC? If so, please join us! A Processor Membership is $75/year for all abattoirs, butchers, charcuterie masters, chefs and other meat processing professionals. Much of the work we do centres around increasing meat processing capacity in BC so we are working for you too. Our Butcher Hub Network specifically supports regional meat processing businesses and we’d love for you to get involved.
This is a non-voting membership but you are welcome to attend our events, will receive our newsletter, support through our Butcher Hub Network, and are welcome to volunteer for various roles with SSMPA. Your membership also comes with a subscription to Country Life in BC.

SUPPORTER
$10
A supporter Membership is $10/year for industry associations, supportive businesses, consumers, and all other valued members of the small-scale meat community. Your membership allows us to show that you share our values and our goals. It also gives us a way to reach out to you when it’s time to write letters to MLA’s, or support one of our funding applications, or give you a heads up about government consultation processes you can participate in.
This is a non-voting membership but you will receive our newsletter, and are welcome to attend our events and volunteer in various roles with SSMPA. Your membership also comes with a subscription to Country Life in BC.
